Run Club Spotlight: Run with Christ

You may have seen the Run with Christ Run Club if you are out near Union Station on Saturday mornings. The large group meets at Ebenezers for fellowship and prayer before setting out on their run. They were gracious enough to chat with us about the group and what makes them tick.

When/Where does the group meet?

We meet most Saturdays at Ebenezers Coffeehouse at 9:00am. Location changes based on planned events, and you can find updates on our Instagram.

What makes the Run with Christ Run Club different from other running groups?

We started this group out of a desire to create a Christ-centered community that would foster spiritual and physical growth, different from typical running clubs that lacked a faith focus. Our purpose is to bring people from isolation, feeling unseen to integration meaning, getting people connected with a local church for lifelong spiritual covering and community! We are an energetic and organized group. We make this a welcoming home for both non-believers and believers to grow closer to God through fellowship and fitness!

What is the mix of runners and who thrives in your run club?

All paces are welcome! We have a walking group, jogging group and running group, with 40-60 members showing up for most runs. Most runners are in the ages of 18-40. Our main goal is to make this open for anyone regardless of where they’re at in the fitness journey. We have beginners and elite runners!

Walk us through a typical run.

1. Fellowship for 30 minutes
2. Introduction of the agenda for the day
3. 5-10 minute Devotion
4. Quick prayer
5. Warm ups
6. Break into our pace groups and lock in!

We fellowship post-run and take a few group pictures!

What should first-timers know before showing up to your run club?

First timers just have to pull up! Bring your running or walking shoes. Pets are welcome too!

What do current members say they love most about running with you?

Our heart for community and the authenticity of our leaders.
