Welcome to the West Virginia Trail Festival (WVTF)! This Wild, Tough, Fun family-oriented annual trail running event occurs every May in the heart of Pocahontas County, WV. Pocahontas is known as WV most mountainous county! WVTF trail races include: 100K, 50K, 30K, 5K and kids fun run mile. Other weekend activities will include a movie night, kid's activities, a ride on the Cass Historic Railroad and awards ceremony. The goal is to create a unique one-of-a-kind experience that will highlight West Virginia’s beautiful and mountainous landscape while highlighting her unique history: West Virginia's beautiful State Parks, the Monongahela National Forest, Cass Historic Railroad, the Green Bank Observatory (GBO), historic local fire towers, Snowshoe Ski Resort, and Pocahontas County.
